Biography:
Mr. Penney joined the Center for Electromechanics at the University of Texas as an undergraduate in 1990 and joined the electrical engineering team at UT-CEM in 1993. He has worked on numerous programs featuring pulsed power, advanced control systems and high power switching systems for a variety of applications. Another area of research activity for him is the high voltage and partial discharge testing for cables and other equipment. Charles also worked on linear motor compressors for various applications. He has wide experience in the construction of control systems, power conditioning, high voltage switching, active vehicle suspension, data acquisition and hydraulic systems.
